Chiara Rui

How would you describe yourself in a few words?
Positive, authentic.

How long have you been a model?
I’ve been a model for almost five years and I hope to be for the next five. At the beginning it was just for having fun, then I realized it could also be my job.

How did you get into modelling?
I started my career at 15 years old. One of my friends was looking for a model for a Fashion Show …that was my first experience and it was GREAT.

How was your first shooting? Tell us a bit about that first experience.
My first experience was the shooting for the brochure of the fashion show, it was 5 years ago in Lecco (Italy). I felt good, i just wanted to try new poses, expressions, to make people understand how i felt in this situation. The photographer made me see something in me i’ve never seen before.

What does modelling mean to you?
That means free expression for me. Is my way to go through the “dark side of the world” , modeling let me see the world as beautiful as I would like it to be.

A model you particularly admire?
The great Emily DiDonato

If you could choose, where would you like to shoot?
Miami or Moscow , that would be AMAZING

If you could live anywhere, where would it be?
Surely NY, this is my dream and I know it will come true soon.

What is happiness?
Have the possibility to follow your passion, to be proud of who you are because you are surrounded by people who understand you and who love you for that.

Where can we find you on a Friday night?
Probably out with my friends in Milano

What’s your next goal?
Follow my heart and do better and better in my job

Paradise Shadows
The idea was born thinking about Cleopatra who used to have bath in donkey milk as beauty treatment.
The white water connects our story to Cleopatra but we wanted to do something innovative. This is not just a conceptual beauty set, this is our way to make the viewer enter in our small cage of paradise, where the time is stopped. The atmosphere we chase reminds the viewer to an uncorrupted and serene paradise, the model is lost in this world of perfection. This editorial explains best what is photography and fashion for us : is a way to see the best side of the world, to feel fill by the" YIN " and to forget about the Yang.
