Can you tell us a little about you?
Sure! My name is Christel and I’m 19 years old. I’ve been a fulltime model, national and international, for a year now. I decided to go to college again, but of course I will keep up the modeling!
If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be?
I always have phases that I want to change something about myself, haha. Sometimes I think: ‘oh, I would love to have bigger boobs’ and the next moment I’m thinking: ‘hell no! My body is perfect the way it is!’ I do have ups and downs in the way I see myself, but I think that’s really normal in this industry. It’s okay, as long as you stay true to yourself.
How did you start modeling?
Wow, that’s a while ago… A friend of mine already did a little bit of modeling and asked me to go to a photo-shoot with her. I kept doing shoots as a hobby and eventually I rolled in to the modeling business.

What do you think of the work as a model?
A lot of people always say when I tell them I’m a model: ohhh your work is so easy! Well I can tell you one thing: it isn’t. You need to be dedicated and sometimes the modeling industry will give you a slap in the face, but if you keep going to reach for your goals it’s so rewarding. I’ve met so many nice people and made lots of new friends all over the world. You get to see beautiful places. I really do love my job.
What is your beauty regimen?
I don’t really have a beauty regime, but I do workout a lot. Not because I want to lose weight or reach a specific goal. I’m going to the gym because afterwards I feel really energetic and I think as a model it’s extremely important to feel good in your skin and have a good energy around you.
What are your plans for the future?
Graduate of course! Continue modeling around the world and always keep getting better in what I do and what I love.

What are some of your favorite experiences so far?
The first time I went on stay in another country, another city, for modeling: Istanbul. I’ve learned so much about myself when I was over there and I’ve met amazing people. One girl in particular. We travel together sometimes and she really became a good friend of mine.
Do you have any advice for those who want to start modeling?
As I said before, don’t think it’s easy. It takes hard work and dedication to reach your goals. If you keep on doing what you love to do, it will be rewarding.
What do you think of the magazine?
It looks amazing, I love that there is so much variety in the photography that is highlighted in the magazine. I also like that the magazine gives the opportunity for models and photographers to introduce them selves.
