Courtney Conway

How would you describe yourself in a few words?
Laid back, happy and curious. I’ve always believed everything happens for a reason and therefore I try to understand and learn from anything negative that happens. I feel as if living my life this way has naturally made me more laid back… in the words of Bob Marley “Don’t worry about a thing, cause every little thing is going to be alright”. Having this mentality makes me feel like a happier person, being able to justify any bad things happening is a good feeling even if the reasons you are justifying haven’t surfaced into reality yet. If I were a cat I would be dead, curiosity always gets the best of me. I’m the kind of person if I find a topic that interests me, that’s all that matters until I’ve learned all I can about it.

How long have you been a model?
I’ve been a model for 2 years. The first year I was with a very small agency and was very limited to any work or networking. So, it’s really only been 1 year since I’ve gone out and done my own thing; meeting new people and experimenting with different styles of modelling are what my main .

How did you get into modelling?
The university I attend shares a campus with a college and during my first year I had a friend in their photography program. She needed a model for a fashion project and asked me to do it. I said yes and while I was there, a few other students saw me and had asked if I could model for them to. I ended up modelling for a few people and one of the photos ended up being hung in the school. It was a really cool experience, I liked the feeling of creating something and it was so effortless I decided to just keep going.
