Hello everyone, i'm Jacques, i'm 35, i learned photography by my self since i'm a children.

 

How and when did you get into photography?

My father transmitted me his passion and offered me my first camera for my 7th years birthday.

 

What does photography mean to you?

For me, photography means capturing beauty in a frame.

Please briefly describe your photography style for our readers.

I'm doing most of the time fashion photography, i use to work with stylists and models.

Where do you get inspiration from?

I get my inspiration from people i'm picturing, just like his... :)

 

Think you in advance what you want in the picture?

Not really, it depends of my mood at the moment. In fact my "thinking moment" is more on post production, there i define my graphic intention.

Studio, on location or both? Both

Would you consider yourself a hobbyist or a paid professional?

Is it possible to be a paid professionnal without being a hobbyist?

What has been the biggest source of inspiration in your work?

I get a lot of inspiration watching commercial shots, especially in advertising.

Nikon or Canon? Favorite lens?

I'm Nikon, and i do most of my shots with the marvellous Nikkor 200mm F2, witch is sadely heavy, but it worth it!

What is one piece of advice you would like to offer a new photographer looking to start their own business?

I would just say them that it's a very long process nowadays, and that we always have to progress, it's always possible to do better... It's important not to be self satisfied!

It's a very nice idea, it's beautiffull, open, and very instructive.
