Interview: Model Amalia Lundell (Sweden)

Can you tell us a little about you?

My name is Amalia Lundell and I am 18 years old. I live in a small village in Sweden and I study economics in a city nearby called Borås. In my spare time I blog and focus on myself as an entrepreneur. It’s important for me to always do my best and reach my goals. I would describe myself as a deep and thoughtful person, aside of that I am very excessive, ambitious and out going. I love animals and because of that I'm vegetarian. It’s also important to mention that I love traveling, cocking and fashion!

If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be?

Hmm… This is a pretty hard question actually! I think it’s a bit difficult to be as sentimental as I am. I mean, it’s tough to live in a world with so much hate and injustice. It’s affect my daily temper and I feel so much against those people who are careless. Apart from that I would change my back, because I have scoliosis and it’s pretty painful, haha.

How did you start modeling?

I started modeling when I was about twelve years old. I’ve always been interesting in art and photographing and by that I realized that I had a talent in modeling. Since then Ive been modeling even though Im short. In other words: I haven’t let anything stop me! It’s important to mention my dear friend, Amanda Sandin who always has supported me and photograph me.

What do you think of the work as a model?

I think the model industri is inaccurate in todays society. I mean, it’s old-fashioned that models have to be super skinny and tall as mount everest. I have talent even though Im petite. Let’s be a bit creative and think outside the box! Dear fashion industry, the year is 2017. Otherwise I love modeling! It’s incredibly inspiring and fun, especially if you work with really good photographers!

What are your personal qualities which distinguish you from others?

I have very intense eyes and Im petite! I also have a very out going mind.

What is your beauty regimen?

Healthy eating. At least eight hours of sleep every night. Brush your teeth. Exercise daily AND smile and be kind to people as often as possible. Happy people are beautiful people.

What are your plans for the future?

I will work even more with my blog and podcast to reach my goals. I will also move to London, New York or California after my graduation, but I haven’t really decided where to go yet. And of course I will work hard as a model!

What are some of your favorite experiences so far?

A photoshoot with a photographer named Tobias Walka. We took some amazing photos by some abandoned train tracks. The photos were incredible. I’ve had a lot of great experiences!

Do you have any advice for those who want to start modeling?

Don’t let the society stop you and ignore the ”rules”. Everybody can model with some practice. My best advice of practicing - practice in front of the mirror and get to know your body and your best angels. When you are confident with yourself - make contact with photographers, stylists and fashion companies!

What do you think of the magazine?

I think the magazine is inspiring and extremely creative. It’s also lovely that you choose models from al sorts of countries and places. I mean, Im short and the magazine still se my potential as a model. It think that is outstanding and modern. It’s simply a hardcore magazine
