Interview: Model Diane Martin (France)

Can you tell us a little about you?

My name is Diane, iam french and i progress in artistic world. I'm 27 and i live near paris, but i'm breton. I like the arts, travel and the new experiences

If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be?

My height. As I'm slightly under 1m70 it closes me a lot of doors. Some people do give me a chance because I look taller than I am but generally they just say no when i say I'm under 1m70. It's a real hurdle for me and that's what I would change even though I wouldn't like beeing too tall, my significant other wouldn't neither haha.

What are your personal qualities which distinguish you from others?

I'm polyvalent, in addition to be in front of the lens I act on camera (short film, clip, ...) , hairstylist and I'm starting a make up artist school . I pratice little photography. This helps me getting a global vision of this artistic medium.

How did you start modeling?

It was about 7 years ago, when I was looking for a job and I saw an offer from a photograph looking for models, I've answered it and... voilà ! Even before that I've always liked beeing on the scene, the centre of attention and I loved posing for photos.

What are some of your favorite experiences so far?

I like working with bigger teams, the ambiance is great, everybody do his respectice job but it's generally a great deal of fun. I liked working for creators as well, for instance Dame Ambroisy where everything (clothing, make up, hairdo...) makes it's own universe.

What do you think of the work as a model?

It's real, exhausting work with its pros and cons... like everything. I like beeing in front of the lens, be part of an artistic project, be the star for the duration of the shooting and of course the best part is to admire the hard work the team has done.

What is your beauty regimen?

For the  make up part, I usually only put on some eye liner and mascara to intensify my look, beside that I prefer to look natural for everyday life. For the rest, I hydrate my skin... when I think about it.

What are your plans for the future?

That would be keep having new experiences and improve myself, meet new people and have big beautiful projects whether in front or behind the lens or as a part of the artistic team

Do you have any advice for those who want to start modeling?

Be realistic, it's a difficult and competitive environment. Also don't give up at the first hurdle, you need to persevere and try to improve your skills.

Don't be naive, some people might be ill-disposed or downright try to scam you.

What do you think of the magazine?

It's a magazine which digs his hole and leave opportuniy to artists to show their work in all artistic fields.
