Model Irina Krupneva (Egypt)

Can you tell us a little about you?
My name is Irina Krupneva, I am a professional Russian model currently based in Cairo, Egypt. I am originally from Chita - a little Siberian city in Russia. I studied sociology for 6 years before changing my career to modelling, I have a Bachelor and master degree in sociology.
I am in love with travelling, because it gives opportunities to learn, grow meet new interesting people from different cultures. Discover new stories and make my own ones. It gives me the chance to see the world with new perspective that develops constantly.

If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be?
If it could be possible, I would like to be fearless and don't have complexes.

How did you start modelling?
I always dreamed about modelling since I was child, but I never had the courage to actually take the first steps towards modelling career. I started to try out some modelling jobs when I moved to Yekaterinburg, searching for TFP photographers and any opportunities to learn and grow. As soon as i started to build my portfolio and gained experience, I started to apply for castings in my town to working as a freelance model. But as I think, my real professional career started when Louay Nasser discovered me on a website for models and invited me for his project. So after our successful collaboration I signed Exclusive Representation Contract with Louay Nasser Production Agency and moved to Egypt for modelling. I was lucky and I am really thankful for everything that this agency did for me. I don't plan to slow down from here, and I will always look for opportunity to move
forward, learn and become better.

What do you think of the work as a model?
It is an amazing job, I love it so much. It gives me opportunity to see myself differently, to develop and change. Each shoot is a whole new story for me, living a new character’s life. Its great to be inspired from the team with whom I work, and inspire them back. I like to create things together with the team. I truly believe that photo session, is a team work. And the most important thing for me is having fun and work hard for great results.
Sometimes working as model can be really tough. For example, I once had photoshoot from 8 a.m. till 4 a.m. Or I remember the one that I had in Russia, it was -20C outside and I was in light dress. But I am trying my best to stay strong and positive even if I am tired. And
my motto is: “Everything for good picture!’’.

What is your beauty regimen?
Nothing special, to be honestly. I just prefer natural soup and only cold water for washing my face. And all my creams that I am using for face and body have no parabens.

What are your personal qualities which distinguish you from others?
I am not afraid to be funny or look strange. I like to listen to people, and to respect
other’s opinions.
I like to to understand everything that is going on with the production. And If I have
target nothing will stop me from reaching it.

What are your plans for the future?
Developing my career as a model, and work on my own model agency.

What are some of your favourite experiences so far?
For now I have two favourite model experiences. The first one, when I was modelling for Redken fashion show in Yekaterinburg. It was my first international experience, as we were working with Jorge Joao - An international hair stylist. I remember what he told me after show: “You did a great job, thank you. You should never stop modelling, you are doing well”. That’s how i decided to never give up and stop on my way to reach my target.
The Second one, when I had my first editorial shoot with Louay Nasser in Cairo, Egypt. I liked everything: the location, the character, the story, moodboard, and working process. In this day I understood that my life is going to change for better, and that I took the right road.

Do you have any advice for those who want to start modelling?
Get inspired and motivated! Search and learn, always look for best examples from best models in this industry. Choose good photographers and check everything twice, be careful but positive, and be thankful. Define yourself. Ask yourself - who you are and who you want to be? Make a target and move to it, step by step. Compare yourself always only with yourself in the past. Dream big!

What do you think of the magazine?
First words that comes into my mind about Modellenland are: big, fashion, fair, international, interesting, bright.
Modellenland is filled with creative vibes and full of interesting stories great platform for discovering and learning from talented people all over the world. Thank you very much for making me a part of it.
