Interview: Model Isabelle Millner (Sweden)
Can you tell us a little about you
I am 28 years old and lives in Uppsala, Sweden. I love to make jewelry in silver clay, go walking, cooking and being with my family. I like to drink coffee with my friends, especially when my hair gets messy, I can tell the coffee tasted very good. I’m working as a dental assistant. I am interested in people, how we function as human beings and how we think and I have great use of it in my work to “read” the patient.
If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be?
No, I can’t change anything because then it would no longer be me.
How did you start modeling?
I started when I was 15 years old. A relative of mine is a photographer, so when he needed a model I was there. It led me to more experience, and that was how I started modeling.
What do you think of the work as a model?
Working as a model allowed me to go beyond my comfort zone. And I do things that I normally would not do for example to stand or walk on a stage in front of many people. I am an independent model. I like it that way because then you're not stuck in a certain ideal of how you should look as in some modeling agency. Its fun working as a model and you discover new aspects of yourself all the time.
What are your personal qualities which distinguish you from others?
10. I have a strong personality, ha ha! Sometimes I can see things in a different way than others, outside the box you might say. I think a lot and when I think I can jump from topic to topic. If I'm curious about something, I'll find out the answers and at the same time learn more.
What is your beauty regimen?
I eat a lot of vitamins and seafood. I working out regularly at the gym or go for a walk. Remember to relax and rest and drink plenty of water. Every night I clean my skin from make-up and I brush my teeth at last twice a day.
What are your plans for the future?
Making use of my life, because it’s probably just a one-time offer.
What are some of your favorite experiences so far?
When I saw myself as a postcard when I was 15, it was a big and new experience for me. Each photo taken by talented photographers have been good experience and have given me a better self-image, so I learn a lot about myself too.
Do you have any advice for those who want to start modeling?
Do backgrounds check on the photographer and make sure that you feel comfortable with the photographer. Be yourself and have a good time on the set. To be yourself is the best way to express feelings and moods and if you are uncomfortable it will appear on the photos. Remember to see your own value and be proud!
What do you think of the magazine?
The magazine is amazing! I am grateful that I get to be a part of it. I love to read about others and be inspired.
