Interview: Model Laura Andracchio (Switzerland)

Can you tell us a little about you?

My Name is Laura Andracchio and I’m from Zurich Switzerland. I am a creative soul. More than anything in the world i like to tell stories. Through images, or writings, or shortmovies or songlyrics – these things are all a type of storytelling to me and I am glad that I have found a way to kind of mix them all together. Why? Because it’s my way of dealing with life.

If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be?

Well I am generally pretty happy with myself. I changed a lot of things during the years. For example did I loose almost 20 kilos 8 years ago. I am very balanced when it comes to myself and I think that most things can be done with hard work.

But if I could change anything about myself that I haven’t been able to do myself, it would probably be my height. I am 170 cm – which often is a barrier to get interesting modeljobs.

How did you start modeling?

At 15 a photographer asked me if I was interested in a trial photoshoot.

I took my mother with me and it all went pretty well.

What do you think of the work as a model?

It is hell of hard work but it is fun!

What is your beauty regimen?

Go natural as often as you can. In my private life i almost never wear any MakeUp because it’s just a lot healthier for my skin. I scrub my Face 2-3 days a week which keeps it soft and young. And one golden Rule: Never go to bed with your MakeUp on.

What are your personal qualities which distinguish you from others?

Haha – well I guess you’d have to ask people who worked with me about that. But I would say the most outstanding fact about me is that I am extremely uncomplicated. Like absolutely. I hate any kind of drama or making big issues out of nothing. I am very honest and direct – not typically “girly”.

What are your plans for the future?

I am working on a few different kind of things. On one hand I am trying to get a few demos done – because music has always been the most important thing ever to me. And I finally started to follow that journey. On the other hand i focus on a few video projects. Every know and then I do other photoshoots as well. But we don’t invest as much time in those projects anymore.

What are some of your favorite experiences so far?

That is a tough one. I’ve had tons of nice experiences and am glad enough not to have had a lot of negative ones along the way. It’s really hard to pick one.

Do you have any advice for those who want to start modeling?

Don’t loose your integrity. Don’t do anything you don’t feel comfortable with just because someone who doesn’t know you tells you so. Stay true to yourself. Don’t be a fool. Always remember: On the internet, everyone can be who they want. Pay attention and be careful.

What do you think of the magazine?

Its nice to have place to feature talented people all over the world.
