Interview: Model Marie Ossbring (Sweden)

Can you tell us a little about you?

Im a 29 year woman and a mother of a wonderful 3 year old boy living in a mid sizes town in Sweden. I'm living an ordinary singel mothers life, working hard to provide for my son and enjoying the good life. I'm a food and wine lover so I spent a lot of time in the kitchen with my friend. I love traveling and experiencing new things, and I'm not afraid of saying YES to things. That's what's gotten me this far in life

If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be?

Change anything, no thank you. My flaws makes me me and I'm perfect just as I am. With my cellulites and stretch marks. If more woman would think like this I bet more women would love them self and eating disorders would stop.

3 How did you start modeling?

I actually won a free model shoot and the pictures turned out great so I posted them on Facebook and photographers started to ask me to model for them. And very fast a had a large portfolio and a group of awesome photographer that a collaborated with.

What do you think of the work as a model?

Working as a model is a very hard job, long days and you have to be very patient. But it's amazing. You get to meet so many funny creative talent people working in the business. You learn fast the good picture are created by a good team and you are not the star only a pice of the team.

What is your beauty regimen?

I take very good care of my skin, cleaning and moisturizing is very important. I never tan in a solarium and always use sunscreen, even in the winter. But the most important it that beauty comes from the inside. If you feel good on the inside it will show on the outside. So make sure that the inside is taken care of as much as the outside.

What are your personal qualities which distinguish you from others?

I'm a loud moth and a bit crazy. I love making people laugh and have a good time so I'm always up to something. Laughing with me or at me it doesn't matter as long as people are happy I'm satisfied. I think I'm memorable, for better or for worse.

What are your plans for the future?

My plans for the future? I'm actually starting to learn how to be behind the camera instead of in front of it. I'm slowly getting the hang of it and I'm sure I will be good at it some day. Just give me some time. I'm stubborn and when I set my mind to something i will succeed.

What are some of your favorite experiences so far?

It's hard to pick just one experience, so I will say that my favorite experience it the people I've met. I've meet people that will be my friends for life and people I really love. I've meet people that change my view of life and people how made me realize my potential and really supported me.

Do you have any advice for those who want to start modeling?

It's not going to be easy, nothing is given for free. You need to fight and work hard to have any success. Its more than just being pretty. You are going to be judged and criticized so you need to come with a good self esteem and be prepared to stand your grounds. Don't be a bitch, be someone people want to work with and for god sake be on time. Than you are going to be fine, and don't forget to have fun.

What do you think of the magazine?

It's an amazing magazine full of great pictures taken by talented photographers of gorgeous models. It's inspiring to see others work and super fun to be featured my self.
