Interview: Model Persefoni Nestorudi (Sweden)

Can you tell us a little about you?

My name is Persefoni Nestorudi and I am 29 years old. I am of greek origin and I was born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden. I quit my job as a building engineer a few months back to pursue my dream as an artist. I have also started a non profit organization for young girls with my sister and two friends.

 

If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be?

I am happy with who I am today, I would not change anything in my appearence. I think everyone are beautiful as they are and we need to focus on the important things in life. One thing I would like to get better at is to be more of a “morning person”. I love to sleep and I hate to get up early in the mornings.

 

How did you start modeling?

It started out as a hobby and now at the age of 29 I got signed as a commercial model for Mikas Agency in Stockholm. Since I am a creative person I like to express myself in different kind of ways. For me standing in front of the camera is one way to be creative.

 

What do you think of the work as a model?

It is fun, you get to meet new people. Mostly amazing and creative people. It is hard for me to see it as a job, it is a passion and I am still doing it for fun.

 

What is your beauty regimen?

I always put moisturising cream before I put make up on my face. If it counts as a beauty regimen I always wash away my make up before going to bed at night.

 

What are your personal qualities which distinguish you from others?

I have heard from a few photographers that I can mediate different kinds of feelings and looks in just a few seconds. I am a good listener and I always want to do my best.

 

What are your plans for the future?

I have a lot of plans for the future, one of them is to continue to work hard and evolve as an artist and maybe one day have exhibitions all over the world. I believe that anything is possible.

 

Do you have any advice for those who want to start modeling?

Do not compare yourself with others, you are beautiful as you are! Work hard and stay true to yourself. Always trust your instincts.

 

What are some of your favorite experiences so far?

When I was a student at the university, I moved to Mexico for half a year as an exchange student to study architecture in Tec De Monterrey. To experience another country during that  period of time was amazing. I was 22 years old and I learned so much about myself and others and I sure did grow a lot as a person during that trip. I love to travel and experience other cultures, I can not wait until December when I will travel to Bangladesh.

 

What do you think of the magazine?

I think it is really beautiful. It is inspiring and gives photographers, models, artists and make-up artists the chance to show their work. Thank you for giving me this opportunity.
