Interview: Photographer Iwona Wojtowicz (Poland)

Tell us something about yourself

I'm Iwona, I am a photographer from Poland, born and raised in the beautiful city of Cracow.

 

How and when did you get into photography?

It was some time ago and I think I fell in love with Lara Jade's work.

 

What does photography mean to you?

It is my work as well great way to express myself and feel free.

 

Please briefly describe your photography style for our readers.

Soft yet edgy, sometimes dark fashion and portraiture.

 

Where do you get inspiration from?

Everywhere. Places. People. Music. Media.

 

Think you in advance what you want in the picture?

Sometimes I do, sometimes I improvise.

 

Studio, on location or both?

Location.

 

Would you consider yourself a hobbyist or a paid professional?

Professional.

 

What has been your most memorable session and why?

It was actually not so long ago. I got to organise the photosshoot for a group of photographers from around the Europe and run the whole workshop. It was really great experience and we were all very happy with the shooting and results. 

 

What has been the biggest source of inspiration in your work?

I think the model and her look and personality inspires me the most.

 

Nikon or Canon? Favorite lens?

Canon. Sigma 50mm f/1.4

 

What is one piece of advice you would like to offer a new photographer looking to start their own business?

Be patient and do your thing. Do what you love and eventually it will benefit you.
