Tell us something about yourself

Hello, I’m a 37 year old guy living in Stockholm/Sweden, and have photography as a hobby. But as for many others my hobby has created a lot work witch is really fun.

 

How and when did you get into photography?

i have always been interested of photography, and around 7 years ago i started with my first dslr. In the start i was shooting nature and family and after a while action sports. Then i went to a studio course and learned the basics, and i really enjoyed to be creative with different light settings and shooting portraits of people. After that i went on some workshops with other photographers and models, and found this kind of shooting, thats how i started with model shooting.

 

What does photography mean to you?

To be creative, and have fun.

 

Please briefly describe your photography style for our readers.

i photograph the most, but more fashion style lately, and 90% of my previous work has been in studio.

 

Where do you get inspiration from?

Pinterest, Facebook, Instagram, google and other photographers.

 

Think you in advance what you want in the picture?

Yes i try to, i look at pinterest and other social medias to collect inspiration pictures. but when it comes to the shooting i always improvise after a while. but i think its a good thing to have a plan in the start.

 

Studio, on location or both?

when you look at my previous work i would say studio, but i like to shoot both.

 

Would you consider yourself a hobbyist or a paid professional?

somewhere between, Semi Professional

 

What has been your most memorable session and why?

i have so many memories from shoots so its hard to actually point out one. but i think my shoots in New York was something completely different, it was me, the model, assistant (who also did know all the good spots to shoot at) and a driver to drive us around the city. in 5 hours we had done around 6 locations around New York. It was something completely different and really fun.

But i also have a lot of great memories from my shoots here in Sweden, but i can´t really write them all here :-)

 

What has been the biggest source of inspiration in your work?

Other photographers/Models who share pictures and also aren't afraid to tell the ”how to” create that perfect picture.

 

Nikon or Canon? Favorite lens?

The camera dosen´t matter its still the photographer that actually takes the picture. but since you ask me i would go with Nikon and the most popular lens now is the 70-200 2,8 outdoor and 24-70 2,8 indoor

 

What is one piece of advice you would like to offer a new photographer looking to start their own business?

Photograph the things you like, listen to your self and have a plan, it will probably change during the time. but if you are happy and like the things you shoot then keep up the work and shoot some more. Don't be afraid to try and photograph something new different that you are used to shoot, sometimes its a good way to find some inspiration.
