Photographer Lajos Csáki (Hungary)

Tell us something about yourself

My name is Lajos Csáki, I am a Hungarian photographer. I aim at doing my best in the genres I especially prefer: nude, glamour and portrait photography.

How and when did you get into photography?

I first started to get to know the basics of photography in the mid 1990s. In the beginning I worked with various genres, but in the past 5-6 years I started to primarily engage in model photography.

What does photography mean to you?

Photography provides a great platform as regards putting across your ideas and displaying your artistic side. Furthermore, you have the opportunity to get to know new people and places which otherwise you would not be acquainted with. Today I can hardly picture my life without it.

Please briefly describe your photography style for our readers.

I wonder if I have an explicit style. I like natural light and I prefer forming and shaping the particular concept jointly with the models.

Where do you get inspiration from?

Books, photography websites, different locations.

Think you in advance what you want in the picture?

That is an interesting subject: I certainly have the notion of what and how I would like to demonstrate with a particular photo shoot, but many times during the shoot a sudden idea of the moment completely changes the path I originally planned to follow.

Studio, on location or both?

Both, depends on the type of photo you want to take,  but I prefer location.

Would you consider yourself a hobbyist or a paid professional?

Hobby. Photography is not my principal job.

What has been your most memorable session and why?

It is a tough question, since every photo shoot is remarkable for a reason. Perhaps, due to the venue, when I photographed nude on the streets of Budapest was the most outstanding from the ones I did so far.

What has been the biggest source of inspiration in your work?

Books of famous photographers, magazines...

Nikon or Canon? Favorite lens?

At the moment Nikon D7200, lens: Nikon 50mm/f1.8 and 85mm /f1.8

What do you think of our new magazine?

I can come across pictures of beautiful models and the work of well-known photographers in the magazine. Thank you for giving me the chance to introduce myself among them.
