Tell us something about yourself

I'm professional photographer since 10 years, living in Milano but working everywhere in Europe. I like to shoot everything is about persons, from portraits, to nudes. Actually I make international workshops of fashion, glamour and nude art photography, with my team and my models I scout everywhere in Europe.

How and when did you get into photography?

I was born with photography as my father was photographer as well, so I can say  I spent  most of my childhood, among negatives, cameras, lights and fixing developers. After my graduation as IT doctor at University, I moved from my town to Milan, and after some years behind a desk and in front of a computer, I decided to start a new life as professional photographer in this city, that is the capital of photography in Italy.

What does photography mean to you?

some famous photographer said that a photograph is not the portrait of the subject of the photo, but it's the photographer's portrait. I think the same, so everytime I shoot, I make a portrait of myself… somehow.

 

Please briefly describe your photography style for our readers.

I am not sure i can describe my style, as i try everytime to change and make something different, depening sometimes by my mood or feelings i have in that moment.

 

Where do you get inspiration from?

I look all the time at big photographers, I study their style, I try to understand why their photos are so much better than mine and my goal is to reach them…one day.

Think you in advance what you want in the picture?

Always. I think the first photograph is taken by your mind and the moment of the "click" is just the final moment of process, that’s starts from an idea.

 

Studio, on location or both?

Both, depends on the type of photo you want to take.

 

Would you consider yourself a hobbyist or a paid professional?

I'm paid professional with the passion of a hobbyist

 

What has been your most memorable session and why?

the most memorable session has to come. It's still in my mind and i'm waiting the right time to do it.

 

What has been the biggest source of inspiration in your work?

Books of famous photographers, magazines...

 

Nikon or Canon? Favorite lens?

I started with Canon,now i'm Nikon but the brand makes not the differnce. My favourite lens are the ones who make me allow to open as much as possible the aperture.

 

What is one piece of advice you would like to offer a new photographer looking to start their own business?

to learn and study how to make good photos. And about business, i think now photography is not a business anymore.
